New love for Olly Alexander

Love is in the air for Olly Alexander, known to audiences as Ritchie Tozer in the Russell T Davies drama It's a Sin and as a musician, releasing music under the name Years & Years.

The performer, 31, has been in the spotlight recently, performing his first live gig in two years earlier this month while, It's a Sin also picked up an award for New Drama at the recent National Television Awards.

There has also been speculation in recent months that Olly is next in line to play Doctor Who when star Jodi Whittaker steps down. Despite denying the rumours, the singer is hotly tipped to step into the role and is the bookies' favourite.

But it's not just his career that seems to be blossoming with reports that Olly has found love with Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke.
New love: Kele, 39, recently released a new album, The Waves Pt. 1 in May

Olly and Kele first met in 2017 when Olly was a guest performer on the track Grounds for Resentment. Now it seems life is imitating art, with the pair making their romantic duet a reality.

Famously tight lipped when it comes to his personal life, the Banquet singer has previously mentioned a partner and child, however a source close to the pair has confirmed that Kele has moved on.

"Kele went through a rough breakup and Olly was there to support him. It wasn't long before they realised there was something more there."

Eagle eyed fans may have spotted Kele in the crowd at Olly's gig, although the pair were careful never to be photographed together.

The Years & Years singer was previously in a relationship with Clean Bandit's violinist Neil Amin-Smith, which ended in 2015. He has not publicly mentioned a partner since this time, however he has repeatedly made references to being single.

With the talented musician's star continuing to rise, a mutual friend of the pair hints there may already be trouble in paradise.

"Kele is incredibly private, while Olly is an open book. Olly is frustrated that Kele won't let him talk about their relationship. It's caused quite a few fights."
